A pleasant greeting to all MOONEYES supporters worldwide, hoping that everyone is trying to stay healthy and active, as the world continues to open back up.

Recently on April 23 an event occurred that is a historic moment for two of America’s greatest speed shops! MOONEYES and SoCal Speed Shop will be sharing the same floor space!!! That’s right!!!

So Cal Speed Shop new proprietor Dave Rhoten had the idea that if one Speed shop was good then combine two to make it even better! So when he opened his new Waco, Texas retail store, he made sure that when needing speed parts or apparel, customers have access to great MOONEYES products as well as SoCal Speedshop items.

Saturday’s kick off grand opening party was attended by many , there were bands playing, food and drink, and plenty to see and do! Even MOONGIRL Emily flew down from her new home in Kentucky to be part of the festivities in addition to a large group flying in from California that included Peter Chapouris IV and Carol Chapoouris , a favorite guest of Shige‘s famous Yokohama shows!

In addition, David “Lucky B” Bond, longtime friend of the MOONEYES family and attendee to many Yokohama shows, now lives in the Waco area, and hand painted ALL the speed shop murals for the new digs!!! Way to go Dave, they look awesome!!!

When in Waco, Texas please make a stop in the new shop and support yet another great location to purchase MOONEYES products!
In closing, I want to mention how great it is to always have someone come up and mention “HEY MOONEYES! COOL!” when wearing something MOONEYES-related weather it be a hat, jacket or t-shirt. Passing through an airport, or pumping gas in a small town, if you are wearing those two “big eyes”, you are such a special part of The MOONEYES Family!!!
